FIT BATHROOM EXTRACTOR PIPE

Situation

The customer needed a new bathroom fan fitted into their bathroom as ventilation was poor and damp was forming on the walls and ceiling, however, there was nowhere for the extractor fan to vent out. A bespoke solution was needed as the customer's tiles were no longer available as they were from the 1930s.

Solution

RB Roofing removed a roof tile and created a gap big enough within the roof felting to fit the ventilation pipe from the extractor fan in the bathroom. The pipe was then sealed in with lead flashing making the roof watertight again. Finally, a plastic ventilation pipe was fitted allowing the excess bathroom moisture to escape out of the house without causing any further damage,
